  • What makes your company worth our investment?
    Our care and concern regarding your special event is second only to your own. This means we make your vision of the perfect celebration a reality. Our fresh look brings a new definition to "experienced DJ". We've been entertaining for over 20 years; yet there is nothing old about our company. Our systems are uniformly sleek and state-of-the-art and of course highly polished and energetic. We believe that being a successful disc jockey requires 100% musical expertise, 100% customer service satisfaction, and 100% professionalism. The investment you make in our company reflects the expertise and quality we bring to your special event.

  • How do I know our DJ will do what we want?
    At DJ Bill's, my livelihood is dependent upon doing exactly what you want. Without happy clients we would not exist. Simply put, let us know what you want and do not want and that is exactly what you will receive.

  • Do you handle announcements for the wedding party?
    DJ Bill will get as involved as you want him to be. Unless you specify otherwise, he will co-ordinate everything from the cake cutting to the dinner prayer to the wedding party speeches to just about anything you need to have done.

  • Do you take breaks?
    Our services are truly uninterrupted and non-stop. From our scheduled start time to our scheduled end time, we will never pause to take a break. Much unlike bands that need to stop and rest, we can just keep playing straight through your event! - - Just another reason DJs are preferred over bands.

  • Are you insured?
    Yes. A one million dollar liability policy protects you and your event at all times. Our equipment is also covered against theft, loss, fire, etc. Insurance protection is often the most overlooked qualification when looking for a DJ. Don't just ask your potential DJ if they are insured, demand proof.

  • Can we meet with your?
    Yes! Both current and potential clients are encouraged to meet with me. I generally meet with you at your residence or at a location that is convenient for you.

  • Will I receive a contract?
    Yes. Every client receives a contract. This document details all issues pertaining to your event. It is a binding agreement protecting both of our interests.

  • Do you offer a contract or written agreement?
    Yes. Our contract is straightforward and written in plain English so that you can understand the terms before signing. It is signed by both parties and offers you a high level of protection and dependability. With the contract, you can be assured that there will be no hidden extra charges or surprises at your event. The signed contract and deposit officially reserves your date and of course an executed copy will be sent to you for your records. If you have any questions or concerns about the terms, just ask.

  • Do you help direct the wedding reception?
    It is up to you. DJ Bill takes pride in our professional ability to interact with you and your guests tastefully to the level YOU desire. We can customize our performance to create an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication, high-energy excitement or the perfect mix of both.

  • Will you, our DJ, get involved with our event?
    We will work with you and your other wedding event professionals. Communicating with the caterer, photographer, videographer and other professionals will ensure that each detail goes smoothly as planned.

  • How will our DJ dress for our event?
    DJ Bill prefers to wear a full tuxedo for formal events, dress pants and shirt for other events. Should you desire another form of attire, just let us know in advance.
  • Can we request songs?
    Yes. You can browse our extensive online music library and select the perfect songs for your celebration. Upon reserving DJ Bill's Mobile DJ Service you can build a Must Play, Do Not Play and Play if Possible Lists and of course you can save your list at any time all on-line.

  • Will you drink alcohol during my event?
    Absolutely NOT! Our company policy is: No Consumption of Alcohol Before Or During Any Event! You will notice the advantages of having a sober DJ.

  • Do you carry backup equipment?
    Your special event could very well be one of the most memorable days of your life. So we must offer you the highest level of dependability. We keep a complement of essential backup equipment on-site at all times for all events. It's kept under the table for quick access. If a component were to fail, it could easily be switched, seamless and unknowing to your guests.
  • Do you hang any banners or other advertisements?
    Absolutely not. We pride ourselves on being elegant. While we appreciate referral business, we feel our services speak for themselves. We will not hang any banners, logos, or signs on our equipment. Nor will we put any advertisements on the dinner tables. The extent of our "advertising" is an unobtrusive stack of business cards next to our equipment so guests can easily take a card without interrupting the DJ.

  • How loud do you play the music?
    One of the greatest complaints of bands and DJs alike is that they play music too loud. It does not have to be that way! During cocktail and dinner hours (if applicable) the speakers will be strategically positioned for even sound coverage throughout the banquet room at a comfortable level. When it's time to dance, the speakers will be repositioned for maximum sound coverage on the dance floor and minimum sound exposure throughout the rest of the banquet room. This means that on the dance floor the music will be at a very comfortable, yet powerful enough level for dancing. Throughout the rest of the room the music will be less predominant and your guests will actually be able to carry on a normal conversation without screaming.

  • Is tipping/gratuity expected from the DJ?
    By no means is tipping/gratuity mandatory or expected. We charge a professional rate for a professional service. This means you won't see a tip jar on our table. If at the end of the night you feel the DJ has surpassed your expectations and you want to tip him, we would accept it as the utmost compliment. But you are under no obligation to do so.

  • Should we feed the DJ?
    One of our most popular questions! The answer is that it is completely up to you. With setup and takedown time, we will often be at your event for nearly 8 hours. Our only request is that you let us know either way ahead of time. This way we can stop and pick something up along the way, if necessary. If you choose to provide a meal for the DJ, we would greatly appreciate it. We suggest not including us in your count since usually at least one guest doesn't show. But don't worry if your working on a tight budget because there is no meal clause of any kind in our contract.

  • How early should we book?
    Simply put...the sooner the better. Some of the most popular dates can and do book as early as one year in advance. Our suggestion is to be prepared to sign a contract as early as 8-12 months before your event. Depending on availability some dates remain open until the month before. So if you're planning an event for next month, it's worth it to check our availability. If you're just starting your planning, try to make your final decision as soon as possible to ensure our availability.

  • Do you provide Karaoke?
    No, unfortunately we do not have Karaoke service. When we started the business we made a conscious decision not to enter this market because it can get sticky doing Karaoke at weddings and weddings are our major focal point for doing business.

  • My special song isn't on the list.  Can I bring it or will you still provide it?
    We will make every effort we can to take any unnecessary work out of your hands. We will try to provide it for you, but in the rare event we cannot find it, you can most certainly bring it to us.

  • Do you have microphones available for speeches?
    Each system comes complete with a wireless microphone system that accommodates even the largest of banquet facilities. We also have a backup hard wired microphone in case of emergency.

  • Do you provide dinner music?
    You bet we do and we don't charge you for it either.

  • What type of music do you play?
    Our music selection depends on the type of event we are hired for. We have an incredible selection of songs we bring to every dance. For weddings we have a basic wedding mix which includes polkas and waltzes, country, oldies, rock and today's hot new dance hits. With the wide age span, this variety has proved to be a winner at entertaining your guests. The pre-reception meeting with the wedding couple insures you the type of music you want.

  • When will the DJ arrive?
    We arrive 1 - 1 1/2 hours before the start of your event. Certain locations require set-up before your guests arrive.

  • Will the DJ play longer if needed?
    In most cases additional time is not a problem. Rates are $95.00/hour.

  • What kind of equipment do you use?
    This is a common question, and although we do not go into detail listing every piece of equipment that we use, we do use only professional DJ equipment. See our Equipment page for more information.

  • Is your system suitable for outside events?
    Definitely!! We've played for outdoor events like weddings. We've also played for community festivals and fairs. It is the responsibility of the clients to provide cover in the event of inclement weather. Electrical outlets must also be accessible.

  • So what will a night of quality DJ entertainment cost?
    Often, when comparing our rates with other DJ services, you may find us slightly higher. When compared to bands we are somewhat lower. In all cases, we think you'll agree...the value from DJ Bill is unsurpassed. Our rates are dependent on type of entertainment and location. Quality is the important word in this question.

  • How much is the deposit?
    We require a signed contract and a $150.00 deposit to reserve your date. We cannot honor a verbal agreement.

  • When is the final payment due?
    Final payment of remaining balance is due at least 7 days (1 week) prior to your event date. We gladly accept personal checks, certified checks, cashier's checks, or money orders. If need be, you can also pay in cash prior to the event start time. It's best to settle up before the date since it will give you the freedom to relax and enjoy your event.

  • Is there a refund policy for the deposit?
    Due to the nature of our business, the deposit is not refundable under any circumstance. However, at DJ Bills Mobile DJ Service, we will allow you to retain a credit with our company if the show is cancelled 90 days prior to the event. If cancelled between 21 and 90 days, the deposit is simply forfeited with no credit. If cancelled less than 21 days before your event, we must hold you accountable for payment in full as it will be nearly impossible to rebook that spot on such short notice.
